How We Do It
The Brief
The first stage of any project begins with taking a brief. The client’s key practical requirements are outlined, while exploring potential ways to enhance their way of living. Sarah will draw upon her colour expertise in creating a series of mood boards to reflect the clients individual style and the overall design direction fo the project.
Space Planning
Whether re-shaping the interior architecture of the entire home or creating a new furniture composition for a particular room, space planning is an integral part of the design process. Plan layouts are explored and refined to suit the client and their lifestyle.

“Sarah listened to our brief and was able to capture everything we wanted and so much more! She was there to guide us at every stage of the process which resulted in a seamless delivery of her designs.”
Sample Boards
Once the overall layout has been agreed, focus is turned to the design and specification of fabric and furniture. Samples of each material and finish are presented, along with images of the furniture, lighting and accessories proposed. A series of artistic drawings are paired with each board in order to help the client visualise the complete design.
Concept Development
As each stage of the process becomes progressively more detailed, preliminary ideas for bespoke designs, such as custom built cabinetry and handmade furniture are developed further. Whether a practical solution or a statement piece; bespoke design is often a key part of the process, allowing us to produce a truly unique product for the client.

“The detail in Sarah’s designs is echoed by the wonderful team of craftspeople that expertly realise her ideas. We couldn’t be happier with the bespoke elements we commissioned as part of the design. There is a unique story behind each piece, something we will enjoy for many years to come.”
Technical Drawings
When working on larger projects, technical drawings are created and issued to the construction team. Each element of design is shown to scale, including finer details such as bespoke architectural features. Lighting schemes and audio visual layouts are produced in conjunction with these drawings to ensure the beauty of the design is matched by its practical application.
Project Management
Once all aspects of the design have been procured, project management becomes the main focus. Work is closely monitored both on and off site, ensuring that each contractor and supplier carries out the work to the highest standard. All members of the project team work together to ensure the smooth delivery of the project.

The Finishing Touch
Dressing a home is a service that has become increasingly in demand. Clients are keen to give a room the finishing touch it deserves. Unique accessories and objet d’art are carefully chosen to reflect their owner’s individual style and add that finishing touch to the design.
